Threshermen’s Show Civil War Living History
The Civil War Reenacting troupe, Cypress Company, will be at this year’s show. Cypress Company will give a portrayal of camp life within an 1862-63 federal camp garrisoned outside a small town.
Camp activities presented will include the drilling of manual of arms, marching maneuvers, musket firing and maintenance demonstrations, camp recreation activities, cooking and a laundress camp. Various types of tents will be displayed as well as types of firearms.
Public interaction with the soldiers will be encouraged with many activities to include public participation by young and old. The main living history event will be held all day on Saturday and Sunday.
