Roll Call -Lane Heatherwick
Lane called the roll. There were 9 directors, and 26 members and guests present.
Secretary's Report -Andy Rousonelos
Brad asked if everyone had received their minutes, and if there were any additions or corrections. Alan made a motion to accept the minutes as published. Jean seconded that motion, and it was passed by all present.
Treasure's Report -Fred Lestina
Fred reported we had income including $225 from banners. Expenses included $500 towards the Will County Sheriff’s Auxiliary for their help on the tractor drive, and $72.10 for a new tire for the scale. Ron made a motion to accept the report as read, it was seconded by Jeff, and it was passed by all present.
Old Business
Ron reported that the corn crib was filled with ear corn for the 2026 show. It was a nice day for picking, and they had great help. Thanks to Ron, Charlie, Chuck, Jay, Bob, Russ, Alan, and Brad.
November 22nd was set for a tentative firewood splitting day, starting around 9 at Jerry’s place.
Our Christmas party will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the Wilton Federated Church hall. Lane and Brad volunteered to cook and donate the turkeys, and Larry and Alan volunteered to cook and donate the hams. Please bring a dish to pass by last name: A-F Vegetable sides; G-M Desserts; N-S Salads, Deviled Eggs, and Rolls; T-Z Hot Potatoes and Stuffing. The club will provide beverages and table service. The silent auction will be held after a short meeting, please bring items to donate and your spending money.
Brad brought an example of the plaques to have on our tables, thanking the donors. It was suggested that we purchase 10 tables, with 2 of them folding, all 8 feet long. All the tables have been covered by donations. Ron made a motion for the purchase of the tables. Hank seconded the motion, and it was passed by all present.
New Business:
Brad reminded everyone that it is time to start looking for new sponsors. The end of the fiscal year is usually when businesses start to plan their budgeting for the following year.
Brad reported that there were no bargains to be found at the Dyersville toy show that he and Fred attended. The Toy Farmer article on our show made for great publicity, and many vendors there commented on it.
It is time to think about possibilities for club tours this winter, as they have been a hit the last few years. The Central Illinois Green Club is interested in joining us this year as well. Possibilities include the Momence Farm and Railroad museums, Fair Oaks Farm in Indiana, the Newark Farm Museum, Stewart Spreading in Serena, and a P51 Mustang rebuilder in Decatur. If anyone has input, please call Brad. We are looking at January or February for the tours.
Dave Wehrmann reminded everyone that the Central Illinois Green Club will be holding their Christmas Dinner on December 10 at the Bonfield Lions Hall.
